Professional Ambitions

"To put it quite simply: I want to go to law school and become a law professor."



Technology in the Law Classroom:
  • Capital University in Columbus Ohio has wireless internet in every classroom

  • Students do research online through Westlaw and Lexis (online databases)

  • Professors email students updates

  • Professors maintain class websites to provide additional materials to students

  • Some professors provide instant messaging office hours

  • I'm glad technology is available to help them." -Capital Law Professor


Technology for General Lawyer Use:
  • "I can keep updated on important current events online... I can get emailed as soon as a big news story breaks." -Capital Law Professor

  • "Larger corporations always have the advantage of more and better technology, but there will always be smaller ones surviving along side them." -Robert Jackson

  • Some jurisdictions now file court cases online

  • Municipal Court- can look up cases online (but not yet Franklin County Common Please Court)
