FindLaw.com

FindLaw.com is a resource I previously looked at from a news perspective. However, I want to look at the site in more detail to see what else it has to offer. The first page lists several categories to look at:

  • Accidents & Injuries

  • Bankruptcy & Debt

  • Car Accidents

  • Criminal Law

  • Dangerous Products

  • Dviorce & Family Law

  • Employee Rights

  • Estate Planning

  • Immigration Law

  • Real Estate

  • Small Business

Under each category are several other categories which all contain links to several "articles" offering legal advice. They are easy to read and look like a great source for the public, but do not necessarily offer much information to lawyers.

However, at the top of the page is a tab to select "For Legal Professionals" instead of "For the Public". This provides the viewer with different options. There is a Research the Law sections with several subsections, a Legal Market Center that helps locate products and professional services for law firms, and practice tools that links to other websites that may be helpful. It also has a link to the news section I reviewed previously. The subcategories include many different search options that could be helpful for lawyers.
